“TeamTypingFast” (TTF) is an online community of practice; a support system for any and everybody who has something important to do. In a society where social media highlights perfectly polished images of finish lines and final projects, TTF is all about working as hard as you can – one word, one line, and one page at a time. There are no elevators to success; it’s all about taking the steps. On TTF, you show up, sit down and type as fast as you can. More importantly, you encourage, motivate and celebrate your teammates along the way.

As a guest on the hit podcast, “The Read”, which features Kidfury and Crissle, Keia mused about her slow but steady progress on her doctoral dissertation. As friends shared what new and exciting things they’d be doing on holidays and breaks, Keia shared that she would likely be “somewhere typing really fast!” She went on to use the hashtag (#TeamTypingFast) to chronicle the process of developing and completing her dissertation study on social media. Other graduate students, academics, writers, and professionals started using the hashtag to document their progress on various projects and the community of practice was born.
